Who are STEM Learning?
STEM Learning offers CPD, resources and support for schools with the aim of providing a world-leading STEM education for all young people in the UK. We are Supported by a unique partnership of Government, charitable trusts and employers. is a government funded organisation provides CPD and support to schools with the aim of providing world-leading STEM education for young people in the UK.
Alongside a schedule of local CPD organised by Devon’s Science Learning Partnership, the STEM Learning Network provides:
- the National STEM Learning Centre in York - providing intensive, residential professional development, online CPD and a library physical and online STEM teaching resources.
- STEM Ambassador Hubs responsible for linking STEM employers with schools.
- Computing hubs as part of the NCCE which provide local support for teachers of computing in primary and secondary schools
What is a Science Learning Partnership (SLP)?
A Science Learning Partnership is essentially a science hub responsible for delivering STEM Learning support and CPD to schools in a local area.
Devon’s Science Learning Partnership (SLP) is based within Cornerstone Teaching Trust and provides support and CPD in STEM subjects to Devon schools across all phases of education.
How can Devon Science Learning Partnership help your school?
We deliver a programme of CPD for teachers of STEM subjects based on local need. Every term we run regular network meetings for science leaders and technicians to allow teachers to share good practice and collaborate. Please see our website for more information.
We can also offer bespoke CPD within your school, tailored to your needs. For larger groups of schools such as MATs or TSA we offer packages of support. Please contact us for more details.
