The Plymouth Place-Based Plan began over three years ago with the city’s 19 secondary schools committing to working collaboratively to improve outcomes at KS4. The work has been underpinned by a joint commission from Plymouth City Council and the Regions Group Southwest. It is also being academically evaluated by the Universities of Plymouth and Marjon.
Plymouth secondary headteachers work together through the Plymouth Association of Secondary Headteachers (PAPH). Schools represented by PAPH include:
Lee Sargeant is the current chair of the Plymouth Association of Secondary Headteachers (PAPH) and is the representative for secondary schools at the Strategic Education Group. He is headteacher of Devonport High School for Girls.
Rob Haring is the current chair of the Strategic Education Group (it rotates every 12 months). He is the CEO of the Westcountry Schools Trust.
