Ian Hunkin (Director of Sigma Teaching School Alliance in Poole) has produced another free CPD article titled: A Summary of the Key Messages from Psychology and Neuroscience re Supporting Children and Young People in the New Normal.
Ian has been asked by colleagues from a number of schools to provide a summary of the key evidence- based actions that we can take to support children and young people in the new normal. Staff have asked ideally for an overview which can be read in an hour or less with a favourite beverage. What follows in Ian's document is his attempt to provide a summary of the key messages from neuroscience and psychology re the practical actions that we can take to support children and young people at this extraordinary time. The signposting section at the end of the article is, therefore, designed to point you in the direction of further useful information and resources.
