We are looking for 10 Teaching Schools with a strong track record of supporting pupils with SEND to support with the recruitment of ‘Engagement Model - Lead Trainers’ and the delivery of accompanying training to enable dissemination.
The Teaching Schools will be geographically based to cover the 8 RSC regions. The South West region and East Midlands and The Humber region will have 2 Teaching Schools to enable wider coverage.
The Teaching Schools that we recruit will be expected to work with the Project Lead to arrange a training venue and recruit experienced Leaders of SEND to become ‘Engagement Model – Lead Trainers’. Funding will be available to support venue costs.
The trained Lead Trainers will then be supported to deliver the training to their local SEND Schools, mainstream schools and other professionals. Funding will be available to support this training including venue costs, materials and £350 to cover the facilitators costs.
The benefit of being engaged at this early stage is to receive the Engagement Model Training first hand and to be in a good position to further support your local SEND schools and provisions when the Engagement Model becomes statutory in 2020/21.
