National Drama (ND) is the largest national association for drama teachers and theatre educators. We recognise that there has been an absence of high quality drama CPD for primary teachers in recent times and so we are investing both time and resources to provide support for teachers to develop their skills and understanding of teaching and learning through drama.
Drama provides children with opportunities to explore, engage and perform through a collaborative arts process. Drama is a subject in which children develop skills and knowledge simultaneously. During this CPD, teachers will experience a powerful pedagogy that will enhance their approaches to literacy, cross-curricular topics and social inclusion. Teachers will leave the CPD with resources and ideas that they can develop and implement in their own classrooms and school.
On Wednesday 20th November 2019, we are offering schools a half-day CPD workshop (1.15-4.30 pm) at:
West Monkton CE Primary School
Bridgwater Road
Bathpool
Taunton
TA2 8FT
The workshop will be facilitated by nationally-renowned practitioners and is designed to introduce teaching strategies that will enhance learning through drama across the KS1 and KS2 curriculum. The subsidised fee is £30.00 per teacher and registration can be made in the following ways:
