The Secretaries of State for Health and Education have written to all Directors of Public Health in support of collaboration in the event of localised outbreaks. This letter sets out that the decision on whether to open a school to wider groups of children, in line with the guidelines set out by the government and the advice of the DPH, is ultimately a decision for the governing body or academy trust board.
